These classes in rotation are designed to stand alone, but as you take more, will have a synergistic effect. Every “intro” class includes a general BDSM overview and event etiquette so even complete beginners can participate their own relationships and the community right away with more confidence.

Seducing With Bondage: Intro to Bondage and Discipline

An entertaining and informative breakdown of the “BD” in BDSM, Bondage and Discipline. We’ll be covering different types of bondage, from physical restrictions of ropes, leather, and devices, to the mental disciplines of objectification, and social constructs. We show not just examples of each form, but we get into the why. Live interactive demos throughout the class, and we open up discussion for those looking for tips, combined with a little bit of practice, have the confidence and skills to be able to impress their partners in their own scenes. 

Building Dynamics: Intro to Dominance and submission

This class has been years in the making, and we are so excited to present this elusive subject of the “DS” in BDSM – dominance and submission. In this entertaining presentation, we lay out the foundations and subtleties to start thinking about when building your own partner dynamics. We cover history, roles, negotiation, levels of power exchange, common archetypes, protocols, rituals, and avoiding pitfalls. Plenty of examples to get the gears turning right away on what is possible in turning your dream dynamic something you can actually work towards. 

Intro to Ropes: Harnesses

Targeted for beginners, This 2-hour class introduces harnesses that will unlock your creativity and open doors to a world of kinky possibilities. We cover safety, terms, and easy to tie harnesses for the chest, hips, and legs.

There will be demonstrations, hands-on instruction, and practice time. Loaner ropes are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own personal ropes. We may have volunteers be tied during class if needed. 

Intro to Ropes: Cuffs

Targeted for beginners, this 2-hour class explores the concept of limiting one’s mobility via rope cuffs (aka single and double columns), and a simple ladder harness using the same technique. We cover safety, anatomy, tips for smoother scenes, terms, gear, and basic knots to get you started. There will be demonstrations, hands-on instruction, and practice time. Loaner ropes are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own personal ropes. 

Intro to Ropes: Connective Tying

We dive into how to immediately establish deep connections with your partner using the simple but powerful concept of aisatsunawa . We show what to look for during scenes, and suggestions on how to keep the connection going for your whole session. We also cover the concept of nawajiri, or the “running end” of the rope, to be used for leading your partner like an intimate dance, and to hone partner sensitivity. 

ROPE NEXT: Chest & Torso

Let’s kink it up a notch. This 2-hour class wIll take a closer look into different chest harnesses that introduce different friction concepts, opening doors to more complicated patterns.  We will covering butterfly harness, munter hishi, XO harness, and a fast half hitch harness. These will be the vehicles to introduce you to rudimentary friction concepts that will show up in many advanced ties. 

ROPE NEXT: Lower Body

In this Next class, we take a closer look at ties involving the hip and leg areas. We will be focusing on mermaid tie, gunslinger, hip harness, and agura.

There are many versions of these harnesses, but we use these to teach techniques to improve rope handling, structural concepts, and visual language for creating your own ties.
